General Requirements
• Photos must be taken within the City of St. Cloud city limits.
• Entries should be appropriate for all ages to view.
• Entries submitted must be your own work.
• You may submit up to 10 entries in any combination of categories below (e.g. 2 downtown photos,
5 river photos, and 3 community life videos)
• File names of entries must be named as follows: enter number of category below (1-9), your first and last name and short title of
photo with only letters, numbers, and the underscore_character. For instance, if Jon Doe entered a downtown photo of
5th Ave. So. he would rename his entry: 2jondoe5thaves.jpg or 2jondoe5thaves.m4v. Failure to do so will disqualify entry.
• For entries with people with identifiable faces shown, you must submit an Authorization of Use of Photo form for
each entry. Failure to do so will disqualify entry.

Categories
High priority will be given to submissions that evoke positive emotion. Each category below includes an example idea. You are not limited to these examples.
1. Business (e.g. people enjoying outdoor patio dining at a restaurant or an employee in action at their job)
2. Community life (e.g. people participating in arts/culture, education, volunteer and entertainment activities)
3. Diversity (e.g. Individual or groups of people that are diverse in culture, age and ability)
4. Downtown (e.g. people enjoying all downtown has to offer)
5. Events - (e.g. people enjoying our community festivals and celebrations)
6. Neighborhoods (e.g. neighbors enjoying a block party for National Night Out)
7. Rivers (e.g. people participating in on shore and on water activities)
8. Seasons (e.g. people enjoying activities in spring, summer, fall, and winter)
9. Sports (e.g. people playing individual or team sports)
10.Transportation (e.g. people using different ways of moving around the city)

Photo Requirements
Photos must be of sufficient resolution to print at 8"x10" without loss of quality with:
- Minimum 300 dpi resolution
- Minimum 1600 x 1200 pixel dimension
- JPG format saved at highest possible quality
- Maximum file size to upload is 10 megabytes
Submission Requirements
• Entries must be submitted online by 4:30 p.m. on July 27, 2018. No hard copies will be accepted.

Awards
Winners will be announced at a September 2018 St. Cloud City Council meeting. Prizes will be awarded at the meeting.
Winning photos will be featured in future marketing efforts and may be displayed at the St. Cloud Public Library, St. Cloud River’s Edge Convention Center, St. Cloud City Hall, on the official City web site and St. Cloud GREATER and City Facebook pages and in the City newsletter and St. Cloud Area Visitor's Guide.
Future Photo Use
