Poetry in Sidewalks

2014 Poetry in Sidewalks Call for Poetry
The St. Cloud Arts Commission invites St. Cloud residents to submit their poetry to be printed into City sidewalks.  We welcome witty, thoughtful, inspiring, or amusing short poems for audiences of all ages.  The submission deadline for entries is Monday, May 5, 2014 by 2:30 pm.

2014 GUIDELINES
All City of St. Cloud residents are eligible to submit poetry.

Residents may submit up to 2 poems that are appropriate for audiences of all ages.

Poems must include an English translation if not in English, and must fit within a maximum of 8 lines, 40 characters per line including spaces, 320 characters overall including spaces.

Poems must be original works by the entrant (previously published or unpublished).

All entries will be reviewed by a panel in a blind jury process.

Selected poets will receive a $100 prize and publication of their poem in City sidewalks.  Poets' names will be credited on the City website, but not in the sidewalk.

Some selected poems may receive editing suggestions from the panel.

Submission deadline is Monday, May 5, 2014, at 2:30 pm.

Winners will be announced at 2:00 pm on the City of St. Cloud website on Monday, May 19.

Poetry submissions are accepted via mail, email, or in person.  Entries may be sent to:
